Welcome to EYFS

Welcome to the EYFS online classroom. Check back regularly for up-to-date news, pictures and activities.

As part of our Early Years Foundation Stage; Morning Nursery, Afternoon Nursery and Reception work alongside each other to develop skills and knowledge, through both child led and teacher directed activities. Our environment gives children the opportunity to explore, investigate and apply their knowledge to achieve the Early Learning Goals by the end of Reception.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please e-mail your child’s class teacher or contact the school office to book an appointment.

Topics – Autumn 2016

The Great Outdoors!

In the first half of our Autumn term we will be enjoying the great outdoors. As part of this topic reception will read stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and Pumpkin Soup. Nursery will read Goldilocks and the Three Bears, We are Going on a Bear Hunt and The little Red Hen. We will be thinking about minibeasts and what we find in our gardens and the woods. The children will also learn about Autumn and harvest time and will be able to create art outdoors using natural materials found all around during this exciting season. During this topic, we will visit a local woodland and take part in ‘Explore, Discover and Create’ sessions.
