School Opening Hours

Nunthorpe Primary Academy is open to pupils from 8.55 am to 3.25 pm. This provides a total opening time for pupils of 32.5 hours per week.

Arriving at school

On a morning gates will be open at 08:45 and will close at 08:55.

School Times

School begins at 08:55am

The register is taken at 08:55am

KS1 lunchtime is 12-1pm

KS2 lunchtime is 12:15 – 1:15pm

School ends at 3:25pm – gates are open from 3:20pm

Nursery Sessions

Morning Session 8:45am – 11:45am

Afternoon Session 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Late Arrivals

Once doors have closed, all children arriving after 8:55am will need to be brought to the main reception by an adult to be signed in and will be registered as late. This will appear on your child’s attendance record. Please try to ensure your child arrives on time.

Absence

If your child is unwell and has to stay off school, you must inform the school before 9.00am of the reason of the absence; tel: 01642 315508  email: enquiries@nunthorpeprimary.org.uk

If your child is absent and we have not had a reason by 9.00am we are required to phone you to check up on the reason why your child is not in school.

If your child has an appointment during the school day you will need to sign them out at the school office when you collect them. Pupils should return to school after their appointment where possible.

School are unable to authorise holidays due to Department for Education Legislation.
