Entry / Exit Procedures

** Please wear a face mask when dropping off and collecting children.

School Start Time –

Drop off time will be between 8:45 and 9:00, please do not wait at the gate for it to open. We would like to see a steady flow of arrivals for 15 minutes.

School will be operating a one-way system the same as in the autumn term. You will enter via the gate near the crossing, walk across the playground, down the side of school and out into our car park (staff will direct you in the right direction).

School Finish Time – 

EYFS, Y4, Y5 and Y6 – school will finish at 3.10pm

Y1, Y2 and Y3 – school will finish at 3.20pm

Parents collecting children should enter school on foot via the car park gate or the nursery pedestrian entrance and walk down the side of school next to the secondary school onto the playground. Please do not park in our school car park.

Once on the playground, please stand in the designated year group zone for your child and your child will be sent to you.

  • If you have more than one child, stand in the zone for your youngest child and the other will be sent to you.

Then please leave the school site via the usual gate, observing social distancing.

  • Please do not speak to teachers or staff on the playground. We would ask you to email or arrange a telephone call via the office, if you need to discuss something.
  • Please do not bring dogs onto our site.

Car Park

The gates to the car park will be closed to traffic from 8:45 – 9:10 and 3:15 – 3.30pm to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Parents who require disabled access will need to drop children off before 8:45am and pick up before 3:15pm. We ask all other parents to please not use our school car park.


Breakfast Club & After School Club

Breakfast Club will be open in the school hall from 7.45 – 8.45 – access through the side of school next to the secondary school.

After School Club will open Monday to Friday 3.10pm -5.45pm the children will be escorted from the classroom to Afterschool Club.

Breakfast and Afterschool club will both need to be booked in advance. 

Parents must use a booking system via mbruce@nunthorpeprimary.org.uk  or 07932 246448.  We will confirm if a place is available as soon as possible.

Parents must accompany children to the door 

Children will wash hands in their year group’s bathrooms on arrival

Breakfast will be collected on arrival if required

Pupils work in groups at different tables EYFS, Y1&2, Y3&4, Y5&6

Outdoor play will operate with social distancing encouraged.
